Valuable Content Made Easier

Every newsletter gains a reputation.  That reputation is gauged on the content we
provide.  That is why my last newsletter was dedicated to creating
Email That People Can't
Wait to Get.  I want your audience to look for your newsletter in their inbox because of the
valuable content you send.  To gain this content we said that we need to take three steps:

  • Strive to Know Your Audience
  • Make a List Based on Their Challenges and Dreams
  • Use the List to Create Content that Empowers and Inspires: by giving
solutions to their challenges and new ideas to help them dream

It all seems good, but are there some ways to be more creative and save time?  The
answer is yes.  Here are a few ways to create valuable content in less time.

Use Your Expertise:  You may not be an expert at everything, but you are an expert at a
few things.  It is not nearly as hard to write about topics you both know and/or like.  So the
first suggestion is an obvious one.  Use your expertise.

Divide and Conquer:  There is a saying "None of us is as smart as all of us."  A team
approach can be a very good one.  Gathering a group of like-minded business
professionals to collaborate can save time as well as utilize many people's expertise to
create great content.  If you organized a group of six people, for example, and each
person writes an article, each person would only need to write two articles per year to
send one newsletter per month.

Interview an Expert:  It is always good for our audience to get the perspective of
someone else.  Planning a few questions and printing them with your expert's answers is a
great way to give valuable content in a creative way.

Use a Previously Written Article:  This is another great way to provide valuable
content.  The key here is permission.  You must always ask permission and give credit to
the author.  Legal troubles tend to follow those who neglect these important steps; but if
done right, using other's articles to invest in your audience or customers works very well.

Hire an Expert:  They are called copywriters and for a price they will create a
professional article based on the content you give them to write about.  They will write a
rough draft for you to approve and then you're set.  If you would like to connect with a
copywriter, just

I hope these ideas help as you strive to create emails that people can't wait to get. I want
to see you get great responses to your newsletters.

Next time we'll explore the idea of receiving money for sending email that people open.
Sponsorships can be a great way to help your bottom line.
